History Cougar Software was founded in Sydney, Australia in 1992 by Bruce Millar.<ref>Millar Financial profile of Bruce Millar</ref> Oren Rosen, who previously held leadership positions with firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers,<ref>Oren Rosen OSCRE Board of Directors biography</ref> joined Cougar Software as Vice President in 2007,<ref>Oracle Journal/PR Newswire announcement re: Oren Rosen appointment (Press Release)</ref> and then took over as the company's Chief Executive Officer in 2008.
