CKVR shut down its analogue signal, over VHF channel 3, on August 31, 2011, the official date in which Canadian television stations in CRTC-designated mandatory markets transitioned from analogue to digital broadcasts. The station flash cut its digital signal into operation, broadcasting on channel 10.<ref name="Analog to Digital">Digital Television - Office of Consumer Affairs (OCA)</ref> Through the use of PSIP, digital television receivers display the station's virtual channel as its former VHF analogue channel 3.

As part of the A system's relaunch as CTV Two, CKVR began to offer programming in high definition. Its HD signal was added to satellite provider Bell TV channel 1054 on September 12, 2011.
