The .32 Short Colt was based on the .320 but had a different sized rim. On some guns the Short Colt will actually fit and cycle properly. However, modern .32 Colt ammunition should never be used in a black-powder firearm. Reloading using reliable published data and a black-powder substitute like Pyrodex can be safe and successful.
